Try Scuba Package POOL ONLY: Lehigh Acres Community Aquatic Center
This is a fun scuba pool session lasts about 30+ minutes and allows you to check out scuba gear, try it on and try it out.. get underwater and breathing in no time flat and putting around the pool playing games. We will take some pictures and video of your experience and send you on your way. All participants will receice a special savings certificate towards open water certification class.

Blue Heron Bridge -
N26 46.997 W 080 02.626 900 E. Blue Heron Blvd. West Palm Beach, FL 33404 This is an amazing shore dive in the beautiful saltwater ocean inlet of Riveria and Jupiter right in the West Palm Beach (South Florida about 2.5 hours from Disney) area. This dive is famous for clear waters, beautiful coral and tons of life under the water. Expect to see things like Star fish in many colors, octopi, urchins, hermit crabs, Dartfish, Blennys, trunk fish, horesehoe crabs, yellow garden eels, bandtail sea robin, striated frog fish (one of the few places in the world these animals have ever mated in front of divers! Strange dance they do is really neat to watch), tons of other reef fish and if we are very lucky and we keep our eyes peeled we will see tiny sea horses and maybe a dolphin too! To say this is AMAZING is an understatement! (free parking)
Lake
Denton -at 27.55 70 N, 81.48 95 W, 790 Lake Denton
Rd., Avon Park, FL 33825, is a
PRISTINE 66-acre lake spring water filled with many fun stuff like tropical
curious little sun fish, striped bass, and even a tractor and other fun treasures
with guidlines to see the fun. The very curious bluegill fish are everywhere
love to come right up to your mask about 3 cm. away to check you out. Some
people like to bring hot dogs or cat foot to feed them. We do. There are about
4 HUGE turtles here too! Several small sunken boats
(mini shipwrecks) make this adventure exciting as you never know just what
your going to see in Lake Denton. The water is crystal clear beautiful and
a wonderful safe freshwater dive. There is no current and the water is clear
and nice. ($10 Donation requested by Christain Rehap Camp that
own location pp to dive this site)
DeLeon Springs Florida State Park - 29 08.24N, 841
22.08W, 601 Ponce DeLeon Blvd., DeLeon
Springs, FL 32130 This
is like diving in a swimming pool with a few turtles and tons of tiny tropical
fish. The water temp is 72 degrees here in this freshwater florida spring year
round. There is allot of history in this great dive spot including the DeLeon
Spring herself. Once an indian ritual ground and later famed as the real fountain
of youth- this famous swimming spot was once the healing waters of a major
Florida resort in 1862. Shards of terra cotta material from the original healing
center can still be found in the spring. Many folks thought they got their
cure here. Maybe you will too. It is crystal clear spring water and very safe
and fun dive spot. Comfortable for beginners and has all the amenities you
could want, huge bathrooms, picnic tables, small history center and a great
18th century old spanish sugar mill that now serves as a great restaurant where
you can make your own pancakes. Great for lunch after the dive. ($6 state park
parking fee required by the State of Florida)
Blue Springs State Park: 2100 French Avenue, Orange City, FL 32763. (*$6 Parking Fee) This is such a fun dive. The main spring is found after a fun boardwalk treck through the spring hammock. The center spring goes down 60 feet deep and has small shelves all the way down to stop and sit if you want. Very clear water where you can see the trees through the top all the way from the bottom to the top clear as glass. Then there is a gentle current that will just comfortably carry you through to the end as you drift dive towards the St. John's River down the spring run. The drift dive is about a 30 minute dive where gar and sunfish say hello all the way down. Gentle and relaxing. ($6 state park parking fee required by the State of Florida)
Alternate
Option: Devil's Den.. 5390 N. E. 180th Avenue, Williston, FL 32696. The
steam that rises up from this natural Florida Sinkhole spring made folks
one say it was the den of the devil. The name and the silly stories have
managed to keep this place a pristine and rather amazing place to see in
the
heartland of Florida. This place a real hidden treasure it is actual a natural
Florida sink hole that opened into a beautiful underground cave development.
This is a dive training dream site with stalactites, ancient rock formations,fossil
beds, three leveled training platforms and beauty of the sun from the open
ceiling streaming through the crystal clear, 72 degree year round water inside
this amazing place. (*$30.00 Park Fee Required for this location payable
to the site, not to Scuba Lessons Inc.)
The Training Part:
Our team of experienced PADI America's and NAUI professionally trained and certified Instructors & Divemasters provide the training to understand everything you need tohave a comfortable safe and fun dive adventure. Please keep in mind this is just one discovery dive and does not mean you will be certified to dive. However, if you want to get certified to dive this first dive will count as dive #1 of the 6 dives required for the course. Scuba Lessons Inc. has programs to learn scuba from ages 8 and up! Scuba is great family fun!
Scuba Lessons, Inc. has an online store for all your scbua gear too. For this program you are not required to provide any gear, however you may wish to purchase your own personal mask, fins, snorkel and boots which can also be found as a very affordable package in the online store.
Discovery dive includes a group video of the experience which will be posted online and you will be e-mailed a link to download this video within 3 days after your dive. We will also leave this video link accessible for you to download, share on facebook, tweet or u-tube for up to 3 months.
You will spend about 45 minutes to 1 hour going through the basic training session first then we will do a fun adventure dive based on your choice of above locations. This will include:
- Safety "rules" of diving (no breath holding, air consumption, buddys, etc.)
- Basic pressure and boyles law science (simple)
- Basic equipment overview (what is what and what does it do)
- How to breath, clear, purge, remove and replace your regulator
- How to read your guages (ecspecially the air guage)
- How to "equalize" your ears to prevent any discomfort
- How to clear any water from your mask while your underwater
- Basic bouyancy and BCD (that vest divers wear) use, how to use it.
Then we are going to do the actual "adventure dive" we will film the experience from your training all the way to your dive and any cool aquaqtic life that show up for a visit while were down. An Instructor will lead the dive and you will have one to two divemasters often following all of the divers in the group from the rear. We will swim in buddy pairs one after another behind the leader. Be sure to listen for clinking sounds as that is the instructor showing you something cool! You may bring your own underwater camera if you have one for this experience. The dive it self will last between 20 and 40 minutes.
After the dive we will go over a few more "safety rules" such as not boarding an airplane for 12 hours after your dive.

When you go for your adventure as a courtesy to the other divers please show up at least 15 minutes early, never late. If you are late enough to miss it or need to cancel you will need to pay a fee of $25 to your instructor to reschedule and it will be based on the instructors availability. We will make every effort to make sure you have a wonderful experience on your Scuba Adventure! Please bring a towel and a bathing suit for your adventure. You will also want dry cloths to change and get warm after your dive. You should also bring any drinks to be properly hydrated and some snacks like fruit or pretzels. You may also want your own pictures besides the group video included, you can get a disposable waterproof camera at most CVS or Walgreens stores.
